Skeeter

This pet is in temporary foster care in NJ.<br/><br/>Skeeter was adopted at the end of August 2006 and it seemed the rough part of his life was over, he would now have a great new home with children to play with where he could live out his life worry free. Unfortunately, this was not the case, just 2 weeks ago Catahoula Rescue got a call from a shelter in Harrisburg PA saying that they had our Skeeter!!!! This amazing little guy had been dumped at a shelter for the second time in his 2 years by the person who swore to love him and provide him a life long home!! Luckily the shelter was able to trace Skeeter back to rescue through his rabies tag and we quickly got him back to us where he would be safe. Skeeter is no worse for ware, other than having lost some weight and being a bit thin, nothing some good food won't fix. Despite being dumped by his "adopter" Skeeter is still a happy - go - lucky boy, completely trusting of people and wanting nothing more than to give and receive lots of love. Poor Skeeter needs a home where he can always be safe, secure and loved never to be abandoned again.<br/><br/><br/>Skeeter was rescued from a high kill shelter by CRI after his owners dumped him because he would not hunt. This sweet 2 yr old is just a bundle of joy. Skeeter enjoys his time running in the fenced yard at his foster home and romping with all his foster brothers and sisters, but also loves a nice long nap in the recliner. This boy is very calm and well mannered. He gets along great with other dogs, cats and children. Skeeter is crate trained, house broke, neutered and up to date on vaccines.
