Sissy's Story

We found out about Sissy being in a shelter in southern Illinois, got all temperament information, posted for a foster, had a tentative plan, and committed to her. In the middle of getting a transport plan together, the shelter told us that Sissy is pregnant, about a month along. We let her foster family know and they did not hesitate...they said they would still foster her. Sissy is at her foster home and is getting all settled in. We will get her into the vet to get her checked over and to get any routine vetting done thst can safely be done. Please check back in on Sissy to follow her story!9/17: Sissy went to the vet to get checked over on 9/11 and about 24 hours later we had six babies! Momma and babies are all doing great. The pups are nursing well and Sissy is the best mom.11/23 UPDATE: Sissy arrived at her Wisconsin foster home last weekend and she is doing amazing! She is the best girl and gets along with absolutely everyone and everything. We are working on getting her in to be spayed then she will be ready to find her furver home!! 11/6 UPDATE: Sissy will be moving to her Wisconsin foster home on 11/15. We will let her get settled in for a bit then get her in to be spayed. Please check back in on her soon! 10/28 UPDATE...Sissy is a wonderful mom to her six pups and is just the best girl ever. She gets along with all other dogs, does not mind sharing her space with cats, and is great with everyone that she meets. We will be getting her routine vetting done and work on getting her in to be spayed and she will be moving to a foster home very soon!
