What is Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society’s adoption process?

Adoption day is held the second Saturday of each month from 10AM-2PM. Upon completed and approved adoption process, potential adopters will receive a $10 discount for this day's event! Is Sissy good with kids?

Sissy is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Sissy good with other animals?

Sissy is good with other dogs. It is not known if Sissy is good with cats.

When can I meet Sissy?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Sissy?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
