Sissy is one of several cattle dogs, all from the same former home, here searching for her forever home and family! This beautiful 3 year old blue herder is such a sweet girl! She is a little nervous here at the shelter inside her kennel, as this can be a noisy place, but this sweet and docile girl is truly resilient! Her nervousness seems turns to excitement as soon as she figures out that a human is there to get her out of her kennel, as she knows what lies on the other side! Once she is outside, she can’t walk further than maybe 10 steps before the urge to roll over for you to commence with belly rubs hits her. And who are we to NOT oblige? This beautiful and sweet girl has won the hearts of both staff and volunteers alike, we aren’t sure why Sissy hasn’t found her family yet. If you have forever and are looking to add a ‘plus one’, she would love that opportunity to meet you! She got along great with all of her former housemate friends, with Papaw Wyatt being her absolute favorite, just as he is all their favorite! We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! We don’t have information on how she does with cats and no way to test for this. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting until that can be a promise kept, BEFORE adopting! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress 3 weeks for your new family member to settle in 3 months for them to build trust Sissy’s adoption fee is $80 - All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home. We are located at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville, NC.
