Sirius - Reduced adoption fee (cost of a license)

We are now offering a reduced adoption fee, the cost of a license if you are a Mississauga Resident or a donation to our scarf fund for non residents.<br/><br/>Meet Sirius!<br/><br/>Sirius is a big goofy giant that came to Mississauga Animal Services as a stray who was never claimed. He has been at the shelter for over a year with zero interest. We consider him a project dog who will need a very special patient person to show him lots of love and work with him. He is approximately 5 years old, and around 110lbs.<br/><br/>Sirius had a bit of a rough go when he first arrived and can still be wary meeting strangers. He completed a 4 session training package where he showed lots of improvements, but will need continued socialization and training in order to be set up for success in his new home. Due to this he will require a few meet and greet appointments to ensure he is comfortable enough with his new adopters. With his training Sirius has mastered sit, down and come but we are still working on a bit of leash walking. <br/><br/>Sirius has not been kid or cat tested but he has met a few dogs and has been very well mannered meeting dogs one on one on leash. Sirius loves to be outside playing with his toys and lots of sticks; his favourite thing to do is roll around in the grass and wait for belly rubs. <br/>Sirius has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped since arriving. <br/><br/>If you are interested in Sirius please contact Mississauga Animal Services to book an appointment at (905)896-5864 Opt 3.
