Sirius's Story
Please meet WAGS' newest and current largest member: Sirius! Named after Sirius Black from Harry Potter, this big boy may look intimidating, but he's a gentle giant and total sweetheart! He is about 5-7 years old, a beautiful grey brindle, and we think some kind of large breed mix like Cane Corso, ect.

Sirius came to WAGS from a strange situation in which he was "rescued" from the South Side of Chicago, but then the rescuer was not able to keep him. He was underweight, and not in great shape, overall. Despite this, Siri has been a total lovebug and Good Boy with everyone from Day 1!

Now, Sirius- AKA: Big Boy, Bubba, Siri, Hey Siri- is doing much better.

Siri already knows "Sit," loves to give "Paw," and is rapidly learning "Down." He tries to keep his room clean, so we think he would be easy to house-train. Siri is still learning How to Dog, and doesn't quite understand how to play, but he loves butt rubs, cuddles, and snacks! His favorite thing in the world is sniffing, and he will thoroughly examine a new environment with his nose for a long time!

Siri, right now, seems indifferent to other dogs, and we don't see a lot of reactivity, so with the right match he may be dog-friendly. Sirius will be the perfect couch potato companion for a lower-energy household. Don't miss this sweet boy who just needs a second chance- call Wheeling Animal Hospital and Pet Resort at (847) 520-7387 to set up a meet-and-greet!
