Simon's Story

Meet Simon

Simon is a stunning ~5-year-old German Shepherd who is ready to find the forever home he has waited far too long for. He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Simon does require a proper introduction when meeting new people, but once he knows you, he transforms into the biggest lover boy. He bonds deeply with his people and loves being part of the action. One of his favorite things is running alongside his foster dad while he rides his bicycle!

Simon is completely housebroken and even goes potty on command. He’s a smart, loyal shepherd!

While Simon is not a fan of most dogs, he’s not reactive in the way many expect. On walks, he’ll calmly pass dogs in the neighborhood and actually tends to show fear, often wanting to go the opposite direction when dogs bark behind fences. Interestingly, Simon absolutely adores his Golden Retriever puppy friend, who he met when the puppy was only a few weeks old. The two continue to do wonderfully together as the puppy has grown.

Because of Simon’s personality and needs, a home with prior German Shepherd experience is preferred. He has spent far too long overlooked in the shelter system and is now thriving in foster care, but what he truly wants is a forever family to call his own.

To receive a link to our adoption application, please text 843-933-9596.
