Meet Simon
Simon is Awesome!
Simon is excited to start a new chapter in his life! He is about 3 years old and weighs about 45-47 pounds. As you an see Simon is a very handsome dog! What you can’t see is his sweet personality.
Simon is a kind soul who would fit well in most families. Docile in nauture and loving in demeanor, the kind of pup who makes it easy to fall head-over-heels. Simon is the perfect choice for a family with another dog. Gone are the days of puppy chaos, at three years old he is an all-star. No need to worry house training and about him chewing up your things. Simon is a sweatheart!
This is what his foster family has to say about Simon…."….Simon has a very sweet temperament and he is an all around good dog. Simon spends his days running in the yard and hanging with the family. This dog is big time cuddler ……he will sleep on the sofa or bed with us. And, he will even come up to us and put his head on our lap! In the morning, Simon will run around the house looking for everyone so he knows where everyone is! LOL! Even though he is a calm pup and likes to lounge around inside the house, Simon should have a fenced in yard. This dog loves to run around the yard and he is very fast! Simon doesn’t like playing with toys but he will carry his ball around in his mouth. It’s so cute! He is house trained and he knows the commands…sit, come, paw, no and kiss (Kiss means we are touching noses). Do you want Simon to be your next best friend... just give him a belly rub. Simon is big on belly rubs!! Oh and if you are watching TV, he will watch TV with you! We just love Simon!”
Simon had a family in NC and when they could no longer care for him, they surrendered him to an over populated shelter. When FHDR found out about this special dog we transported Simon to NJ to live in a foster home.

Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day.
We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to NJ.
