SIMON's Story

Meet Sweet Simon! Simon was adopted from us about 3 months ago, and while his family was truly heartbroken to return him, their existing cats were no longer thriving with him in the home. Simon desperately wanted to play with them but didn’t understand the difference between gentle cat play and energetic puppy play. Simon would do best in a home with no cats — not due to aggression, but simply because he is an overexcited puppy who doesn’t quite pick up on feline cues. Highlights about Simon: • Almost completely housebroken • Crate trained • Knows sit, wait, and eat commands and waits patiently for “eat” • Very friendly with all people • Loves tennis balls • Destroys plush toys • Loved taking showers with his previous owner • Takes baths willingly and allows nail trims easily He has not lived with children, so we have no feedback, but meet & greets are always recommended. He did very well with other dogs when previously in our care. Come meet this 40.50 pound sweetheart at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville. Adoption Hours: • Mon–Fri: 12–5pm • Sat: 11am–2pm All adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters must establish vet care upon adoption. The 3 3 3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to settle in 3 months to build trust Simon’s adoption fee is $80. Simon / A314262: 9 months old, 40.50 pounds, neutered male #adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
