Simba's Story
Available From Texas

Simba
3–4 years old • 81 lbs • Husky

Simba is a stunning Husky with a calm presence, beautiful looks, and a sweet soul that slowly reveals itself once he trusts you.
He may look strong and confident on the outside, but underneath is a gentle, affectionate dog who truly loves being close to his people.
This handsome boy is house trained, crate trained, food motivated, and already knows several commands including sit, down, “go to your place,” and understands “no.”
He loves treats, enjoys learning, and responds well to structure and consistency.
Simba enjoys walks, absolutely loves car rides, and is an excellent travel companion.
Around the house he is generally very chill and quiet — in fact, he hardly ever barks.
He enjoys affection, belly rubs, and hugs, but he’s more of a “near you, not on you” type of dog. He likes being close to his humans and forms strong bonds once he feels safe and comfortable.
He is friendly with strangers and has done well around other dogs, especially calmer or more submissive dogs.
Simba can play rough-and-tumble at times and likes to be the confident one in the relationship, so proper introductions and a compatible canine companion are important. He would also do wonderfully as the only dog in the home.
Like many smart Huskies, Simba can occasionally be mischievous if left unattended too long. He may counter surf, investigate the trash, or test boundaries, but he is very trainable and eager to work for rewards. With continued guidance and routine, he has all the potential to become an incredible lifelong companion.
Simba’s ideal home would be with someone experienced with larger dogs, preferably someone active who can give him structure, exercise, and space to run around and enjoy life. A backyard and a family willing to continue building his confidence and training would make him very happy.
Most of all, Simba is simply a sweetheart with a calm inner spirit and so much love to give to the right person.
Adoption Fee $550

If interested in this dog, please fill out the application
https://mikeschanceanimalrescue.com/dogs-application.htm
*NOTE: Transportation is included in the adoption fee.
