Simba's Story
Simba is the cutest scruffy young man with soulful eyes and a heart full of love. While his exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery—possibly a Pekingese/Pomeranian mix or even a mini Golden Retriever mix—what’s undeniable is his gentle nature, sweet personality, and irresistible charm.

Simba came to our rescue after being surrendered due to unfortunate circumstances. His caretaker was told she would be temporarily watching him while his owner traveled for work, only to later discover she had been deceived and the owner never returned for Simba. Despite the confusion and heartbreak, Simba has remained resilient, trusting, and eager to love.

Now safe under ARC’s care, Simba is thriving and showing just how special he is. He walks beautifully on a leash and is crate trained and potty trained, making him an easy transition into a new home. Simba is the perfect companion for outdoor walks—once he sees his leash, he is ready to go. He absolutely loves toys of all kinds and enjoys human companionship.

Simba does best in a home with another dog and seeks comfort in canine companionship. If your dog is looking for a friend, Simba could be the perfect match. He bonds well and enjoys having a companion to help him feel secure and confident.

Simba’s current caretaker is moving and is only allowed to keep one dog, choosing to keep her senior companion. Because Simba is young and highly adoptable, he was brought into ARC with the hope of finding him the stable, loving forever home he truly deserves.

Simba is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and scheduled to be neutered on January 12. He is looking for a committed adopter or a foster-to-adopt home that will offer patience, consistency, and love.

Simba has already been let down once, but he is ready for his next chapter to be his forever one.

Located: Essex County
Adoption Fee: $650

If you’re interested in opening your heart and home to Simba, please email arcwithlove@gmail.com or submit a dog application through arcwithlove.com under the “Adoption” tab. Foster-to-adopt applicants may also complete our regular adoption application.
