Simba's Story

Meet Simba - our one-year-old beefcake with a heart of gold! This handsome hunk didn't have the easiest start. We're guessing he was kept outside, and just shy of his first birthday, he ended up on a shelter's euthanasia list. Thankfully, one of our rescue partners reached out - and a few hours and many miles later, Simba was safe with us. Since arriving, this big lovebug has stolen everyone's hearts. He's a volunteer favorite who's quickly learned how amazing life can be when you have people who care, treats in your pocket, and a leash that leads to adventure. Simba loves walks and playing with friendly female dogs - he's just a big goof with a soft spot for the ladies. He's ready for a forever family who will make him feel like the king he's always been inside. Harmony Animal Matchmaker and Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

We prefer to adopt our animals locally, but are open to discussing out-of-state adoptions for our longer-term residents, or harder-to-place pets. We ask basic questions to understand the life style of the adopters and see if they meet the lifestyle of any of our current adoptable animals. Our standard practice is to never let a Harmony Animal be homeless so if at any point in the life of the adopted pet the adopted family is no longer able to care for their furry friend we will always take them back. In fact, our adoption contract states that if at any point you find yourself needing to relinquish your pet that you contact us and not another rescue or person to take them in, we always have room for our harmony animals and want to ensure they get the best home.
