Because this gal, Silhouette, gives off major “Toothless” the dragon vibes: without the teeth issues or ability to fly. However, she is loyal, loving, and playful.<br/><br/>Let’s talk aesthetics- Silhouette is stunning yet brings the question of what type of black dog is she? The best kind I think: Rich, black, wavy coat of fur that is silky soft to the touch. And she loves all the pets and belly rubs- so many opportunities to feel her coat. She’s playful with other dogs, racing around the yard- she’s stealthy fast or just romping around casually with her toys.<br/><br/>Silhouette is loyal and loving to her humans, sitting at your feet and snuggled up. She knows basic commands and is good on a leash. Treats always help- she has a soft mouth and prefers to take gently from your hand. She is house trained and enjoys her dog bed during the day and night. She is peaceful in the car for rides- sitting quietly in her seat watching out the window.<br/>Although Silhouette is likely not from the Isle of Berk- or a dragon- she is waiting to find her forever home.<br/><br/>6/11/26 Building Volunteer Feedback: Silhouette is a sweet, gentle girl who enjoys meeting new people and making canine friends. On a recent social outing, she happily greeted both people and dogs while taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells around her. She approaches new experiences with curiosity, carefully checking things out at her own pace. While some unexpected noises made her a little cautious, she quickly recovered and continued exploring. Silhouette has a soft, sensitive nature and seems to appreciate a calm, gentle approach—she’d much rather take a treat from your hand than have one tossed her way.
