Silas's Story

Silas was found outside of Rossville and was never claimed. We are pretty sure we found his home, but they claimed he wasn't theirs. We would rather find him a new home who wants to love him, so here we are. Silas loves to lay on his bed in his kennel and is pretty quiet. He loves to go for walks and has become a pro on a leash. He loves to play in dog play groups but is very chill inside! He has a beautiful chocolate/white coat with great eyebrows! :) If you would like to meet Silas, please email the shelter at cchs04@sbcglobal.net and request an application.

The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
