SIENNA's Story
Hi friends! My name is Sienna (Nicky in Mexico) and you can learn more about me here:

PHYSICAL INFO:

Breed: Shepherd mix
Age: 4 years 7 months approx.
Gender: Female
Weight: 35lbs (16 kg)
Height: 60cm (paws to top of my head)
Length: 60cm (head to butt)
Current Location: Mexico City, Mexico

RESCUE STORY - My hooman angel rescuer found me alone and likely abandoned, wandering the busy streets of Mexico. I was in the middle of the road when I was found and as soon as my rescuer opened her car door, I hopped inside and put a big smile on my face! Phew! I was safe now. Despite my rescuers attempts to find my family, all signs pointed to the likely scenario that they had left me there to fend for myself. Can you believe that?! Well now I'm ready to find my true forever family - the hoomans that will love me and keep me safe always!

TEMPERAMENT - My new family should know I'm somewhat of a couch potato. I would loooove to snuggle on the couch or in bed and have some hooman company. I am very loving, tender, sweet and quiet, a real good girl! I also loooove to eat (hey - who doesn't, am I right?). I am a very independent pooch and I like my space to be respected. This is where I get my beauty sleep. I am good with other pups but it's important that we are introduced in a neutral space otherwise I'll feel uncomfortable (or scared, especially if the pup is larger than me). Once we are properly introduced however then I'm good to go!

ENERGY LEVEL - Low/Medium

GETS ALONG WITH:

Kids – Unknown (but testing can be requested) - I would likely do best in a home with older kids as I like my beauty sleep and space respected!
Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos!
Cats – Unknown (but testing can be requested)

PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:

Leash skills – I do well with my leash skills as you can see here, however I may need some additional patience and training. A double leash (with a secure harness) is recommended when I go for walks as I can get nervous in new environments and may be a flight risk.
House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.
Crate trained – My rescuer says I am not so familiar with this and I may need some additional training and patience.
Car rides – My rescuer says I am not so familiar with this and I may need some additional training and patience.

Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.

HEALTH NOTES:

I am spayed and vaccinated.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:

My adoption fee is $728.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

-------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER:

Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible.
