Sid's Story

Sid is the silliest little bouncing bean. He's reminiscent of ice Age's sloth, obnoxious, kind, self amused, caring, snuggly. He's extremely difficult to get a picture of because of his determination for fun.

This Chi-Winnie has a massive personality and thinks he's the biggest dog on the playground.

While he's super friendly with everyone and everything, his play with other dogs needs to be supervised and restricted so he doesn't injure himself.

We consider Sid to be special needs under the age of one year due to his gorgeous overbite, his front carpels are overextended and can get sore with too much impact/activity, he sometimes limps on his back legs if he's been overly active. Does this mean he's an energy bean that has to remain a potato? No.

He will need considerations and supervision over his lifespan, could benefit from supplements and occasionally seeing a physical therapist (doesn't cost much).

Nothing impacts his belief in his abilities though! He's a spunky little dude ready for adventures and whatever you have in mind. He's the right size for a backpack pup to make adventuring easier for life.

If you think this goof ball has a place in your life please reach out!

--------------------- About our process and fees

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/
If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.

He's a spunky little dud
