Shyanne's Story
Shyanne (Annie) came to us after her owners moved away and left her and her two puppies standing in the driveway to fend for themselves. And of course, as you would expect, she was so pregnant, she was about to pop! Out of the Woods TO THE RESCUE again. (It is never ending!)

Annie's two teenage boys were placed in a foster home and Annie went to a different foster home to prepare for the birth of her babies. In only a few days, we had 6 newborns to care for. Fortunately, Annie was a wonderful mother and took excellent care of her babies. Now, all of the babies are adopted and it's Annie's turn to find a true forever home.

This dog is extremely sweet. She apparently has lived her entire life outdoors, so she's a little shy about coming in the house. Once you convince her it's okay to be inside, she pretty much makes herself at home and I find her many days curled up in a chair in the living room. Annie is crate trained and house trained. She does not do well on leash, but we are putting in some extra time with her on this. Annie is very food motivated and will basically do anything for an animal cracker! Annie has also had all of her vetting done and surprisingly she tested negative for heartworms! Yippee! She is currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Annie has not ridden in a car much, but she vomited both times we took her. Probably some short trips out and back would help with this but it's something we have not had time to work with.

Now that Annie has recovered from her puppies, she has shaped up nicely and weighs in right about 40 pounds. We estimate her to be 2.5 years old. This girl can use a doggie door and she loves the other dogs in her foster home and really enjoys play time ... another dog in her forever home would be a bonus!

If you would like to meet Annie to see if she's your perfect match, please start with our Adoption Application ... the link is just below. Adoption fee is $150 and all of her vetting is done (rabies, yearly shot, kennel cough, spay, heartworm test was negative, microchip) ... all this girl needs is a HOME!

To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application.

Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact.

We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application.

Please go to http://ootwrescue.org/adoption to fill out an application or review our Adoption Process.

Cat adoption fee is $100. Dog adoption fee is $150, unless otherwise specified.
