Meet Shrek!<br/>This handsome gentleman is finally ready to find his forever home! Shrek is between 4-5 years old and came to us when a local shelter was overwhelmed and he needed a little more medical care than their budget allowed. We were happy to help as working together is how we save more animals!<br/>Shrek is basically the life of the party! He is the funny uncle that can be uncomfortable at times... especially when he gas bombs you silently ?<br/>If you know Frenchies, you know that they are loud, slobbery and stinky ? He also had some airway issues when he first arrive that are very typical of the breed. French Bulldogs are Brachycephalic, or smoosh faced. That means their airways are significantly reduced. He needed to have surgery to open his nostrils, shorten his soft palate (roof of his mouth) and also remove tissue in his throat. He also had Cherry Eye on one eye that was surgically repaired. Going forward, these things will not be an issue and he should live much more comfortably.<br/>This guy gets along with other animals and has also been around kids. He is kennel trained but much prefers being with the family.
