Shirley's Story

COURTESY POST!
✨ Meet Shirley! ✨
Breed: Belgian Malinois mix
Age: Unknown
Status: Chipped, legally surrendered, blue spay mark present
Medical Records: None available
Shirley is a gorgeous, high-spirited Malinois who is so ready for her forever person! She came to us chipped, and after contacting her original owner—who made no effort to reclaim her for over a month—she is now legally ours to place in a loving home. She does have a blue spay mark on her belly, indicating she was likely spayed previously.
🌟 About Shirley
Shirley is an absolute ball of energy wrapped in a sweet, affectionate personality. She LOVES to play—especially fetch! She’ll chase the ball, bring it right back, and be ready for the next round in a heartbeat. But don’t let her athleticism fool you; she can just as easily settle in for quiet snuggles and soak up attention.
She’s curious, intelligent, and eager to engage with the world around her. Shirley is the kind of dog who thrives with someone who appreciates both her bright mind and her playful spirit.
🌼 What We Know:
• Very energetic, playful, and loves interaction
• Great retriever—she’ll bring the ball right back to you
• Loves to snuggle when it’s time to relax
• Inquisitive and eager to bond
• Plays well with other dogs of equal size and energy
• Has not been around children
• Has not had opportunities to be indoors due to our sensitive cats
• Would benefit from a home experienced with active, smart working breeds like Malinois
🏡 What She Needs:
A committed adopter who can give her the attention, activity, and consistency she deserves. She would thrive with:
• Space to run and play
• Training, structure, and a job to do
• Someone who understands the breed’s high energy and intelligence
• A home without cats (or with very careful introductions)
• A family ready to help her blossom into the incredible companion she’s meant to be
💛 Why She’s Looking for a Home:
We adore Shirley, but we simply cannot give her the lifestyle or indoor time she needs due to our cats. She deserves more than we can offer, and we want her to have the fulfilling, loving life she’s waiting for. Shirley is kennel trained.
If you’re familiar with Malinois—or ready to fall in love with one—Shirley may be your perfect match.
📩 Interested in meeting this amazing girl?
Send us a message! Shirley is waiting for her person—could it be you?
Please email through Petfinder for an application
