Shimmy's Story

MEET SHIMMY<br/> <br/>Have you ever heard of a pilot known as Wrong Way Corrigan? In 1938, he took off from NY with an approved destination of California. Instead, he headed east, not west, and wound up in Ireland. He claimed to have misread his compass but most people believed Ireland was where he wanted to go all long. <br/>We can't know for sure, but perhaps Corrigan was the inspiration for our boy Shimmy (racing name Shimizu).<br/>During Shimmy's first schooling race he simply looked up at his trainer and stayed put as the artificial lure whizzed past.<br/>The second attempt to get a little action out of the boy did result in Shimmy racing--but in the wrong direction! <br/>And so marked the end of Shimmy's racing career.<br/>This gentle brindle boy, who will turn two on May 25th, seemed always to have his sights set on being some lucky person's loving companion. He cozies up to Leroy, the foster family's resident Greyhound, and he passed two cat tests!<br/>More bonus points: he is great riding in the car and has never even attempted to lift his leg in the house.<br/>The only race Shimmy wants to run is into your heart and home.
