I’m Shimmer, and my name really does fit because I seem to shine wherever I go. I weigh 30 pounds and have a mostly white coat with tan ears, one adorable tan eye patch, and the softest little speckles on my muzzle. People say I look like I was dusted with fairy-light glitter. I’m friendly with dogs, kids, and even cats, and I love meeting new people who can appreciate my glow.<br/><br/>I’m an outgoing, silly girl with tons of puppy energy. I love exploring, running around like the star of my own show, and playing with soft toys that I can toss around dramatically. I’m still learning about being a dog and getting better every day with walking on a leash and following commands. I’m growing fast and love being outdoors, exploring, and playing with my friends. I’m curious about everything and love to run, play, and just enjoy the fresh air.<br/><br/>Even with all my energy, I also love to snuggle and will happily jump right into your lap. I require time, attention, and gentle guidance to truly flourish. I’m still working on crate training and house training, but I don’t mind a good hard toy or a bone to keep me busy. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own.
