Shiloh - So Tiny!'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Two-year-old Shiloh is looking for a new home. She is currently in a NJ foster home, where we've been working on putting some weight on her.

Shiloh and her friend Bessie were surrendered to our partner rescue in Louisiana when their elderly owner could no longer care for them. Bessie has found a new home and Shiloh is almost ready to find hers. She is scheduled for a dental in early December, where at a minimum she will have a couple of retained baby teeth removed. Shiloh was underweight when she arrived and she is almost at a good weight. She is a sweet girl who loves laps and cuddles. She sleeps under the covers with her foster family.

Shiloh does have the typical Yorkie spunkiness - is playing really well with another foster dog in her foster home (Astra). However, she can be a little timid when on a walk. Shiloh is friendly to people and kids. She is very happy to see the neighborhood children and immediately gets into their laps for some loving. She went to a yoga class with dogs and spent time in a lot of laps.

Shiloh mostly potties on piddle pads. She will go outside sometimes, especially first thing in the morning, but definitely prefers to potty indoors.

Shiloh has been spayed and microchipped, and she is up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm disease. Her adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Apply to adopt Shiloh @ wagoninn.rescuegroups.org
