Shiloh's Story

Where's our Freckle Lovers at? Meet adorable & adoptable: Shiloh. This gorgeous boy is almost 13 years old but somehow he did not get the memo that he's a bit older. He can easily do a 1.5 mile walk at a good clip. He likes to play with balls and toys on occasion. He also enjoys a good romp in the yard. Senior who?
Shiloh is also a bit of a Velcro dog. He likes to be close to his people. He will follow closely and he is quick to dart through the door first, when it is barely open because don't you dare leave him behind! (caution needed around the front door or anywhere you don't want him to get to first).
When Shiloh gets tired he likes to curl up on a couch, chair, dog bed or sometimes a crate for a nice nap. Shiloh's hearing is not what it used to be but his bark is still ON POINT. He barks when it's time to get up, time to eat, time to come inside, if he wants to come into a closed off room, and at the vet's office. Whie's not really all tha slowed down, he does have a heart murmur, as many seniors do. No medication is needed for this condition, just monitoring.
Shiloh would do best in a house with a yard for him to play and no shared walls. He is social so more than one person in the house and another dog that likes to play would be nice.
Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find at austincockerrescue.org We adopt to within the state of Texas and do not ship or transport dogs.
