Where's our Freckle Lovers at? Our handsome, freckle-faced boy Shiloh is still looking for his furever home! <br/><br/>At almost 13 years young, Shiloh clearly missed the memo that he's supposed to be slowing down. This active senior can easily keep up on a 1.5-mile walk at a brisk pace, still enjoys chasing a ball or toy, and loves a good romp around the yard. Senior? Not in Shiloh's mind! <br/><br/>Shiloh is also a classic Velcro dog who loves being with his people. If you're moving, he's moving. He'll happily follow you from room to room and wants to be part of everything you do. One thing to know--he's quick! He has a talent for slipping through an opening door before you know it, so he'll need a family that's careful around exits.<br/><br/>After an active day, Shiloh is perfectly content curling up on his dog bed for a well-earned nap. He prefers to sleep in his own doggie bed at night near his people, but often joins his foster Mom and foster brother & sister on the bed in the mornings, perhaps to make sure he doesn't miss breakfast? 😁 Shiloh relishes mealtimes, and eats his meals from a slow-feeder bowl. <br/><br/>Like many senior pups, Shiloh's hearing isn't quite what it used to be--but his bark is still in excellent working order! He'll gladly let you know when he's excited about going on a walk or when playing with his foster siblings.<br/><br/>Shiloh also has a heart murmur, which is common in older dogs. At this time, it doesn't require medication--just routine monitoring by his veterinarian.<br/><br/>Shiloh is a big guy, weighing in at 42 pounds, and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play. Because he enjoys expressing himself, he'd do best in a home without shared walls. He loves company, so a home with more than one person and another playful dog would make him especially happy.<br/><br/>If you've been hoping for a loyal companion with a big personality, a loving heart, and plenty of freckled charm, Shiloh may be the one you've been waiting for.
