Shiba's Story

It’s hard to believe that a dog as sweet as Shiba could be abandoned, but that’s exactly what happened to her. Shiba was found wandering the streets of Miami, and for two months, nobody came forward to claim her. We can’t understand why, because she truly is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet.

Shiba is an 8–10-year-old Corgi/Shiba Inu mix, weighing about 45 lbs, and she has SO much love to give!

She absolutely adores everyone she meets, from little children to seniors, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She’s gentle, affectionate, playful, and loves belly rubs more than anything!

And if there’s one thing Shiba LOVES, it’s going for walks. She would happily keep exploring all day if you let her!

At home, she’s the easiest girl. Fully house-trained, calm, and perfectly happy just relaxing near her people. She’s also spayed, vaccinated, and in great health, with recent bloodwork and a veterinary exam to prove it. Her teeth just need a little extra care.

We know older dogs are often overlooked, but Shiba has so much life and love left in her.

We don’t know why nobody came looking for her, but we hope someone out there will see what a wonderful dog she is and give her the home she should have had all along.

Shiba doesn’t need much to be happy.
