Sherry's Story
Meet Sherry

Sherry is a sweet old lady who is looking for a quiet, comfortable place to spend her golden years. She isn't the type to demand attention or constantly ask for pets—instead, she simply wants to be near her person, lying close by and feeling safe. There's something incredibly special about her quiet companionship.

Sherry is low-energy and pretty chill, as you'd expect from a distinguished senior lady. She enjoys slow, short walks, especially when she can take her time sniffing all the plants along the way. She isn't interested in toys, but she absolutely believes blankets are important. In fact, she takes great pride in rearranging her blankets for a good 20 minutes before finally deciding everything is just right.

She does well being home alone during the day and is comfortable with her routine. She has learned to use little stairs to get where she wants to go and loves sleeping in her foster's bed, although she is equally happy on the couch or curled up in her own bed—with, of course, plenty of blankets.

Sherry is doing well with potty pads when left home and goes potty outside when she's out for walks. She eats well and prefers wet food, which is easier for her to chew. And if you really want to win her over, boiled chicken is her favorite treat!

While Sherry isn't particularly cuddly, she has a sweet little “puppy” moment when her person comes home. The excitement of seeing you again brings out a little extra pep, and it's absolutely adorable.

As an older girl, Sherry does experience some evening restlessness and pacing. Once she settles in for the night and feels secure, she relaxes and lies down with her person. She tolerates cats but would prefer they give her plenty of space and let her enjoy her peaceful little world.

Sherry would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can relax, enjoy her favorite blankets, take leisurely sniffing walks, and simply be loved for the wonderful old lady she is.

And her foster mom, Paula, has something to say about her:

“This girl has my heart in the biggest way and I would love to hear about her new old lady life.”
