Sherry arrived here as a stray on March 10th. We later found out that she had been in the care of someone else while her owner was away. Just a few weeks ago her owner came to claim her. He visited with her and was going to come back to pick her up after her spay surgery the following week. The next day he called and said he changed his mind. He no longer wanted her back. We are never shocked or surprised. What we see on a daily basis is so disappointing that we dont bat an eye at people like this. We wish he had not come to see her. The fee is determined by the weight of the dog when they have their spay/ neuter surgery. <br/><br/> The fee covers spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, lyme test, heart worm test, dewormer, dapp vaccine and dog license.<br/><br/>Friends of Fido is a non-profit organization that helps the dogs at the Mahoning County Dog Warden. They are offering to cover the costs of the first round of training to any dog adopted from the pound.
