Sherpa's Story
Age: 2 years
Size: 80 lbs
Good with: kids, cats, dogs

Sherpa's rescue journey has been long, filled with ups and downs, but ultimately transformational. From an injured stray in Alabama to a happy boy who is part seal and could spend half his time in the water, he has shown us that love, patience, and time can heal the deepest wounds.

Sherpa was a wild child when he first came up to NYC. Under-socialized and scared, he spent some time at a board-and-train facility where he learned to communicate and understand our human world. After graduating with flying colors, he went to a loving foster home where he has exceeded all our expectations.

He gets along nicely with dogs, cats, and older children (younger children might be ok depending on their temperament). He is well-behaved at home, 100% house broken and crate trained, and has lovely leash manners. He is an intelligent, active dog who loves to swim and play ball, but also enjoys lazing in the sun and watching his humans garden.

Sherpa is fostered in Glastonbury, CT, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet him. Please send us an application at https://bit.ly/rosr-adopt-foster to get the process started.
