Sherman--Courtesy Post not an LELRR dog's Story
Sherman
Sherman is a 10 year old AKC yellow English Labrador Retriever from breeders in Lisbon, Ohio. He is currently living with his family in Canfield.

Serious family illness has made it very difficult to care for pets in the home and forces us to find Sherman the love and attention he deserves

He is neutered, chipped and fully up to date on immunizations with his last vet visit on 06/01/2026. He's loving, affectionate and likes to be around all people. He is house trained and was crate trained when we got him but we didn't use a crate. He gets along fine with the cat and our kids in the house just fine. 'be fine with other dogs but there will be an adjustment period since he doesn't have much experience in this.

He's very friendly, however he is a little uncertain at first when new people walk in. After 10-20 seconds he goes about his business. He's very submissive but want to make people aware of that reaction.

Sherman has grand mal seizures and they happen about once every 60 days. He takes Kepra twice a day to manage this and his prescription costs $38 per month. He comes with a 2-3 supply in-hand of his medication. He eats Purina One and takes medication pills just on top of his kibble. He's a good boy and needs love and attention and unfortunately, with our family member's illness, we are not able to provide him with what he deserves.

He would make a wonderful companion for someone. If you're interested in learning more about Sherman, contact Brian Kennedy, Col. US Marine Core (Retired) at 330-507-9708 or brian.kennedy@yahoo.com. Please do NOT fill out an application.

In lieu of an adoption fee, the family asks that a donation be made to the rescue in Sherman's honor.
