Meet Sherman
Sherman was surrendered to our rescue at 12 years of age. He was in rough shape, covered in fleas, thin, flea bite dermatitis, bladder stone. It's been about 5 months of recovery for Sherman before he could go up for adoption.
Sherman has clear skin, a full. thick and healthy coat of fur. He has had many
x-rays, and has had a blood panel and urinalysis, He had a bladder stone, that with a special dissolution diet, has shrunk about 50% in size. This bladder stone causes him no pain, or other issues. He can urinate without issue, and our veterinarians say to leave the stone alone, but to ensure that Sherman's future home keeps him on the Urinary S/O diet for the rest of his life, to prevent further stones to develop.
Sherman is the sweetest little dude. He is very well behaved. He walks very well on leash, is house trained, and loves to cuddle. He does not like children much so his home must be Adult Only. He is fine with smaller dogs, but does not like large dogs, and his owners must protect the larger dogs from Sherman LOL.
He is totally fine with cats.
Sherman has arthritis in his spine, they call it Spondylosis. So he does get still, and will walk a little funny when the weather gets a bit cold and damp. He must not jump off oh high furniture like beds and sofas.
Sherman sometimes barks to get your attention - or to get you to give him a treat. And he gets the puppy zone out - and runs around the house like a young puppy.
He is 12 but full of life and spunk. He is an awesome little guy that has brought smiles to many faces.
Sherman would love to find a home to call his own. He likes to sleep too!!
His adoption fee is $395. He is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to cuddle.
an adoption application and home visit is required.
