Shelly's Story

Shelly is the happiest of girls, someone is going to be so lucky to get her! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 32 pounds, what a perfect medium/small size.

Meet Shelly and get ready to fall in love because she is about as sweet as they come! This young lady is such a pleaser and her only care is to get attention and be close to people. With her adorable full-body wag and happy demeanor, she is honestly just a treasure and only wants to be by your side. Shelly can be a little submissive though and could benefit from some confidence-building. She's also a bit unsure about toys at the moment, so scary, but with your love and support, she'll learn to embrace her playful side in no time. Shelly adores leaning in for cuddles and is at her happiest when she's close to her favorite people. Her sweet and gentle nature makes her an ideal companion for anyone looking for an easy-going and loving friend. She would love it if you came to meet her, she can't wait to give all her love to a family. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Shelly would love to meet them. She has a soft, play mode approach with other dogs with cute playbows. She is a bit of a wrestler though and likes to bear hug the other dogs.

If you are interested in Shelly and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
