Shelly's Story
2 years old • Hound Mix • 56 lbs<br/><br/>Personality & Energy<br/>Shelly is a silly, affectionate girl who loves snuggles, pets, and the occasional zoomie session. She has a playful side and especially enjoys carrying around her rope toy, bouncing happily with it in her mouth. Her energy level is medium—she enjoys playtime but also loves to relax and cuddle.<br/><br/>Favorite Things<br/>Treats, bones, toys (especially rope toys), and attention from her people.<br/><br/>Home Environment<br/>Shelly would likely do best in a home with a fenced yard, or a home committed to leash walking once we learn more about her leash skills. She will need a family that is mindful about door safety, as she is a known flight risk and may try to bolt if given the opportunity.<br/><br/>Training & Behavior<br/>• House trained (no accidents reported) <br/>• Crate trained and does well when left alone (relaxes quietly) <br/>• Knows “sit,” understands “no,” and comes when called <br/>• Leash skills: not yet tested <br/><br/>Shelly has not shown resource guarding outside of her crate, but she may become defensive if other dogs approach her kennel while she has food or a bone.<br/><br/>Socialization<br/>• Dogs: Does well with dogs of all sizes (25–90 lbs).
