You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chelly is a 44 lb spayed 3 year old border collie that is full of love and life. She was initially brought into rescue in December 2025 heartworm positive along with two canine siblings.<br/><br/>Chelly was extremely well trained upon arrival, has a fantastic recall, quick sit and stay, touch, and gently takes treats or any item from our hand. She is learning frisbee. Return needs a little work but we that is improving as well. Chelly is a highly energetic dog and needs the activity/play. That said she does have a nice off switch about 8:00 to settle in for the evening.<br/><br/>Chelly is crate trained but doesn’t need it. She will sleep in her crate with the door open at night in our room. Her house training was faultless after the initial learning the. Chelly absolutely loves being outside.<br/><br/>She had a fear of dark, windowless spaces, possibly was confined to a closet or small bathroom prior. Older children she was fine with. She has a strong herding instinct that may want to be encouraged/directed in the future. Leash walking is improving all the time.<br/><br/>All in all, Chelly is a very sweet, wonderful girl that will be a wonderful lifetime companion to someone. Her desired home would be active and willing to give her the tools to be the best possible dog. She has a great desire to please and a gentle no is all she needs is correction.<br/><br/>Chelly is being fostered in the New Haven, MI area.
