Meet Sheldon!<br/><br/>Sheldon is a 5 year old Maltipoo (Maltese/Poodle mix) weighing about 8 pounds with the cutest little stocky build and an irresistibly sweet face. Like Amy, Sheldon came to us as a breeder release and simply hasnt had many opportunities to experience life as a beloved family pet. While hes shy at first, its easy to see the sweet, gentle boy hiding beneath his uncertainty.<br/><br/>Sheldon is searching for a family that will let him move at his own pace. He doesnt need someone to rush him—he needs someone who understands that trust is earned through patience, kindness, and consistency. Every day he grows a little braver, and watching him discover the joys of being loved is one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable.<br/><br/>A home with another calm, confident dog will help Sheldon tremendously. He takes comfort in having a canine friend to show him that people can be trusted and that home is a safe place. Hes also good with cats and would thrive in a quieter environment where he can continue building confidence without feeling overwhelmed.<br/><br/>Sheldon sleeps well in his crate every night and is making excellent progress with house training. He goes outside nicely and has also used pee pads successfully. With a predictable routine and lots of encouragement, hell continue blossoming into the wonderful companion hes meant to be.<br/><br/>Sheldon is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and will receive a veterinary health certificate prior to adoption. While he and Amy care about one another, they will do best in separate homes where they can grow into confident, independent dogs.
