Sheldon's Story

Meet Sheldon!

He is a year and a half old, golden and white, and that tongue has never once fit entirely inside his mouth and he is absolutely thriving anyway.

Back in April of last year, a tiny three month old puppy named Sheldon was found running alongside a busy road in Texas with his sister Missy, outside a local clinic that became their unlikely home base. Animal control could not take them in. So they waited. And waited. For months, these two little dogs lived near that clinic, surviving on the kindness of strangers, until the right people finally found them and said, not anymore. Sheldon is making his way to Maine, and he arrives 9/12 ready to leave that chapter behind for good.

What came through all of that is one of the warmest, most loving dogs you will ever meet. He is wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats, and everyone who has spent time with him uses the same word...love bug. He looks up at you with those big amber eyes and that enormous open grin and you just think: this dog deserved so much better, and now he is finally going to get it.

Sheldon waited a long time for his forever home. It is out there. And it is going to be everything he has been waiting for.

Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog
