Shelby's Story
Shelby is an adorable 5-7 year old red merle with a tail! She weighs about 48 pounds and is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines and preventatives. She is an excellent passenger in the car and knows some obedience skills. She loves to shake your hand! She is working on leash walking and recall.

Shelby is an absolute perfect companion dog. She adores her people. Shelby is a “free spirit” and prefers not to be crated, but she isn’t destructive when left out. Shelby is lower energy and has a nice off switch. She is extremely well-mannered while inside and loves to snooze on the floor. She absolutely loves to be outside and gets the zoomies when she senses that she is getting to go somewhere.

Shelby is great with all animals! She’s more of a peaceful coexister than a player, so she’d also be fine as your one and only.

Shelby’s ideal home is one where she could spend a lot of time outdoors and with her people. A fenced yard is ideal for her. She would also thrive with continued training—she’s a smart cookie with so much potential! Shelby is fostered in Elizabethton, TN.
