Shelby's Story
Shelby is a delightful young beagle/golden retriever mix. She is a bit larger than a beagle but has the usual short hair. She has had one litter of pups but is now spayed. Shelby is about 2 years old. She has been through a series of homes that were not a good match for her including spending time living in a van. She is a bit shy of men but has really come a long way. Now it only takes her about 15 minutes before asking for pets with new men. Her last home and her foster home really helped her change her mind about men. Her last family loved her but she kept jumping her 4 foot fence to go explore the neighborhood so she came to us to stay safe while finding her forever home. The next family needs to make a serious commitment to her to keep her. She needs a secure fence and a family ready to be patient with her while she bonds to adult males. She has been fine with male children even teenagers.

Shelby is available and her adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in her or any of the beagles available through Seattle Beagle Rescue, the first step is to fill out our adoption form on http://www.BeagleRescue.org and tell us a little bit about yourself.

All of our dogs are in foster homes as we do not have a shelter.
We are in desperate need of foster homes. We are having to turn down dogs that need us for a lack of foster homes. If you live in a house, have children that are at least school age, and want to give a temporary home to a desperate dog, please fill out our foster home application. You will make a needy beagle very happy. https://id3416.securedata.net/beaglerescue/forms/fosteradog.html
