Shelby's Story

Shelby is gorgeous with her brindle coloring and is about as sweet as sweet can be. She is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 56 pounds.

Meet Shelby, a sweet and sensitive soul who's looking for her forever family. Shelby is a gentle and well-mannered girl who just needs a little extra time and patience to open up and show her true colors. She can be a little hand-shy and submissive, it just takes a while to build trust, but once she does, you'll see her whole body wag with happiness! Shelby is a people-lover at heart and just wants to be close to her humans (she honestly can't get close enough), giving kisses and cuddles. She likes to stay by your side and looks to you to be a leader, for guidance and confidence-building. Shelby would do best in a quiet, more predictable type home environment to match her personality. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with her timid, underconfident nature. Shelby would love it if you came to meet her, she can't wait to have a family to love and to be out of this noisy, somewhat scary kennel environment. She also seems to "hold" her potty in her kennel, so she really needs a home.

If you are interested in Shelby and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
