Perfect Household Includes:
Ideally Sheena's primary caregiver would be male. Sheena 100% likes both men and women (her foster is a woman), she is just a bit boy crazy and it's adorable... literally falling over onto her back for belly rubs from men and just squishes into them. If we're talking perfect, she would probably love being an only dog to get all the spoils to herself but has been friendly with all dogs of all shapes and sizes that she has met so far and lives with.
Personality Traits:
Sheena is really overall a good dog and listens to corrections very well. Through continued training and clear consistent boundaries she will blossom into the best friend you've been missing. In the short time in her foster home she has been transforming rapidly.
She is a happy squishy girl with a bit of a take charge attitude. She puts her weight into everything she does, her love, her walks, her play, sitting on your feet, everything. the ideal home would not have small children or others that are physically unstable. They should be able to lift/push/pull her weight. Sheena is working on getting her slim figure back. Her ideal weight is in the 50/55 pound range, but she’s currently clocking in around 75 pounds. She is housebroken, making improvements on her walks and very smart.
Fun Fact:
Sheena makes the best faces and is hilarious. She LOVES a good butt scratch and will back that booty up for it any chance she gets. She also snores and it’s adorable!
Special Needs:
Sheena will need ongoing, firm, consistent and patient training and boundaries. She is making progress on her boundaries, sharing and not having to run the show. As her trust grows with her foster, this does get better. She is beginning to seek love in lieu of attention and the payoff has been priceless.
Sheena is working on crate training, has 2 scheduled naps a day and sleeps in her crate through the night. When told "time for a nappy" - she hardly makes a peep when in there and will now go in on her own from time to time for a nappy.
