Sheba's Story

Meet Sheba!

Sheba’s icy blue eyes may catch your attention first, but her loving personality is what makes her truly special! This beautiful girl is approximately 2 years old, weighs around 35 lbs, and appears to be fully grown. She is a lovely size for someone looking for a companion who isn’t too big but still enjoys being part of everyday life.

Without a DNA test, we cannot confirm Sheba’s breed. Her medical records list her as a Shepherd mix, although we suspect she may have some Husky mixed in as well. Whatever her background, the shelter describes her as a one-of-a-kind girl with an adorable personality and so much love to give her future family.

Sheba is ready for a home where she can settle in, build trust, and enjoy having people of her own. Her affectionate nature makes her an appealing companion for someone who wants to include their dog in daily life, from walks around the neighborhood to time together at home.

Sheba enjoys other dogs and may do well with a canine companion, though another dog is not required. She could also thrive as an only dog with a family who gives her plenty of attention, companionship, and opportunities to socialize.

She has not been formally tested with cats, so we cannot guarantee feline compatibility. A home with a cat may be considered with adopters prepared for slow, supervised introductions and careful management. Her exposure to children has been limited, so a home with older, respectful children may be the best fit.

Sheba could be a good fit for an apartment or condo! A yard or fence is not required, provided her family can give her regular walks, bathroom breaks, exercise, and mental enrichment. Most of all, she needs adopters who will make time for her and help her feel at home.

Although Sheba is an adult, she will still need patience while adjusting to a new environment. Her adopters should be prepared to establish a consistent routine and reinforce potty training, basic obedience, and household manners as needed. Giving her time to settle in will help her feel comfortable and confident with her new family.

The shelter where Sheba is staying is severely overcrowded, and wonderful dogs like her face uncertain futures simply because there is not enough space. We would love to see this loving girl leave shelter life behind and find a home where she can share all the affection she has been waiting to give.

Health:
Sheba is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives. She has been tested for heartworm and is negative.

Important Information:
All of our dogs, including Sheba, are currently located in Texas and will be transported to their adopters once the adoption is finalized. Transportation is included in the adoption fee.

Please note that adopters will not be able to meet Sheba in person before committing, as transport occurs after the adoption has been finalized.

Breed labels are educated guesses based on appearance and available shelter or medical records. We encourage adopters to focus on each dog’s individual personality, needs, and long-term compatibility rather than breed alone.

MA License #479
