Sheba's Story

Sheba is a volunteer favorite. She’s been at the shelter for a 3 1/2 years since her mother passed away. She still misses her mom.
Sheba is an absolutely stunning dog. It is obvious that her mama loved her so much and took her on long walks. She is perfect on a leash. Sheba will bond easily with a loving woman who lives a quiet, simple life. Sheba will need decompression and time to assimilate back to a home life after all of this time in the shelter.
Pets grieve too, but this shy dog will be the missing puzzle piece for someone who wants a low maintenance companion in their very calm and private life. I know that person is out there for her.

Sheba isn't without her issues. Her mom saved her from the Memphis Animal Shelter the very day she was to be euthanized. It took Sheba a while to trust. Especially men. It still takes her time to trust.
Sheba's mom adored this dog. And Sheba adored her. We know, without a doubt, Sheba is capable of boundless love and devotion. We just need to find her the right fit.
Sheba loves to be loved on. Loves a knuckle bone, and enjoys her time out in the park, and car rides.
Sheba will need to be an only dog in a quiet house without a lot of traffic. It takes her a minute to warm up to new faces and she doesn't always like men. But once she does warm up, she’s all love. If you are looking for a devoted best friend, Sheba is your girl.
Sheba has been cat tested an was non reactive.
