Sheba's Story
Hi, I'm Sheba.

Before we meet, I think it's important that you know a little about my story.

For the first six years of my life, it was just me and my person. They were my whole world. When they unexpectedly passed away in early 2024, my life changed overnight. Because no one knew right away, I was left alone in the home for nearly a week before help arrived. Animal control took me in, and shortly afterward, Animal Care Society welcomed me into their care.

To say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. I was overweight, anxious, confused, and struggling to understand why my entire world had disappeared. Everything was new, scary, and unfamiliar.

After spending time at ACS, I was adopted. My adopter truly cared about me and worked very hard to help me succeed, but after two years together, it became clear that it wasn't the right fit for either of us. So now, I'm back where my journey started, hoping the next chapter is my forever one.

The thing about me is that I'm not the kind of dog who instantly walks into a room and acts like everyone's best friend. New situations can be hard for me. Change can be hard for me. But consistency? Structure? Patience? Those are my love languages.

I'm a fully trained girl who thrives when I know what's expected of me. I enjoy having mental challenges, physical outlets, and a person who is willing to continue building my confidence. When I trust you, I am incredibly loyal, devoted, and happiest simply being by your side.

I won't be the easiest dog you've ever met, and that's okay. Some of the best relationships take time. What I can promise is that if you're willing to invest in me, I'll give you something truly special in return: unwavering companionship, endless loyalty, and the satisfaction of watching a dog who has been through so much finally find the home she deserves. I'm spayed, up to date on vaccines, & microchipped for peace of mind.
