Hi, I’m Shayla. I’m a 4-month-old Lab mix puppy, and I came from a high-kill shelter in Texas. I was one of the lucky ones who made it out, and now I’m holding onto hope that my second chance leads me to a family of my very own.<br/><br/>I may not be the kind of puppy that immediately stands out. I’m not flashy—just a simple black-and-white girl. The kind you might almost pass by. But if you stop and really see me, you’ll find a heart that loves deeply. I lean in for cuddles, soak up every bit of attention, and give it right back tenfold. Being close to my people is my favorite place to be.<br/><br/>I’m also a happy, playful puppy who loves toys, running around, and making friends with other dogs. I’ve done great with kids and just want to be part of whatever you’re doing. I’m still learning my puppy manners, so I can get a little bouncy when I’m excited—but I’m eager to learn and even picked up walking on a leash pretty quickly. When the day is done, I curl up and sleep peacefully, dreaming of what it would be like to finally be home.<br/><br/>I’m fully vetted—spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives.
