Sharkie's Story

Meet Sharkie – Sweetness With a Splash of Spunk!

Sharkie may have a fierce name, but don’t worry—she’s more of a cuddle shark than a great white. This Pyrenees mix (confirmed by DNA!) is not quite a year old and has the perfect balance of puppy energy and laid-back charm.

Sharkie’s story is one of resilience and trust. She spent several months roaming our community, with neighbors leaving out food to keep her going. The day we finally met her, she trotted right over for a few treats and happily followed us home—it was love at first sight.

She’s expected to reach about 60 pounds fully grown, making her a perfect medium-to-large companion. Already, she’s proven herself to be an all-star: crate trained, potty trained, good on leash, and friendly with both dogs and cats.

Because she has some cattle dog in her, Sharkie can be a little “mouthy” when she gets playful, so we’re looking for a home without young children. Aside from that, she’s a dream dog—the perfect mix of playful and chill. She’s always up for a walk or adventure, but when it’s couch time, she’s right there ready to relax with you.

Her foster family has been working on commands, taking her on field trips, and giving her plenty of socialization—and she’s excelling at every step. Sharkie is ready to bring her sweetness, smarts, and loyalty into her forever home.

? Please note: We do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re interested in adopting Sharkie, you’ll need to fill out an adoption application, complete the approval process, and come to Dallas to meet her (and hopefully take her home!).
