She's a true gem who's ready to find her forever home.<br/><br/>Shane's previous life was on a breeding farm but now she's learning to love life and all it's new adventures. Shane's favorite activities include getting outside for a good sniff around and rolling on her back for belly rubs. She walks very well on a leash too.<br/><br/>This girl is a joy to be around and gets along great with both people and other dogs. Her silly personality shines through once she's comfortable, and her photos are proof of her fun-loving nature! Shane has a lot of love to give and deserves a home where she can be spoiled rotten. <br/><br/>Beautiful Shane, who loves to carry something in her mouth, is waiting to feel the field under her paws and experience what Labs are born to enjoy: A morning hike with fresh smells to awaken the nose. A ride in dad’s truck. A pat on the rump and a big ol’ milkbone given for being the best girl. A long belly rub. A new toy to carry. The sounds of family all around. <br/><br/>Shane we want this for you too! We are hoping every day your family sees a pretty chocolate Lab that's ready to go home.<br/><br/>Shane is currently on a weight loss journey and came to our facility weighing 84 lbs. She is walking regularly and her weight is going down. We want to her be at a healthy weight so she can live her best life. She is not a high energy dog.<br/><br/>Shane is in a foster home! Here's her first update: <br/>Shane is a gorgeous happy girl with a wonderful personality. We've been fostering her for about 10 days now & although she is a little nervous yet while adjusting to a home life, she is getting more comfortable every day. <br/><br/>She is house trained, sleeps quietly all night on her bed & is curious but well mannered in the house. She loves attention & belly rubs & has a cute playful side with a happy "thumper" tail that never stops. <br/><br/>She loves having a stuffed toy to carry with her & doesn't shred or chew it up, she just likes to have it close.<br/><br/>Shane is such a special girl that would love to find her forever home for the new year!<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE: $550<br/><br/>To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. <br/><br/>Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN.
