Shandy's Story

My name is Shandy and I am a 3-year-old Shepherd who weighs about 68 lbs.
I came up from Northern California with a litter of puppies, and now that my mom duties are done, I'm ready to find a forever home of my own!

I'm a friendly, social girl who does well with other dogs, but if I had to choose, I'd pick my humans every time. I absolutely love snuggles and attention and am happiest when I'm close to my people.

Outside, though? That's where my fun, goofy side really shines. Give me a yard and I'll show you my best "parkour zoomies" - running, bouncing, and having the time of my life. Once I've gotten that energy out, I'm right back inside ready to curl up and be your cuddle buddy.

I do want to be upfront that I showed strong interest in a cat here at the clinic, including growling, so I would likely do best in a home without cats or small animals. I may have a higher prey drive, so this is something my future family should be mindful of.

I'm looking for a home that will enjoy both sides of me - the playful, energetic outdoor adventurer and the calm, affectionate snuggle bug indoors.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a fun personality and a soft side, I might just be your girl!
