Shaggy (MR26-108)'s Story

Shaggy is a 58-pound Alaskan Malamute with a friendly, social personality and a big love for life. He enjoys playing with toys, going on walks, and soaking up all the love and attention he can get.

Shaggy is a great dog who gets along well with others and does an excellent job respecting different play styles. He walks nicely on leash and is always happy to head out for an adventure.

Shaggy does have three legs, but it doesn't slow him down one bit-he still loves to play, romp, and be part of the action just like any other dog.

A meet and greet at the shelter is required to ensure he's the perfect fit for your home. Shaggy is ready to bring joy, companionship, and lots of fun to his new family!
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
