He was surrendered to a county shelter when his family reported having too many dogs, but thankfully he was given a second chance and made his way to our rescue.<br/><br/>From the moment you meet him, it's easy to see what makes Shaggy so special. He's incredibly friendly, affectionate, and has a fantastic temperament. He loves people, enjoys making new friends, and approaches life with a happy, playful spirit.<br/><br/>Shaggy recently joined a volunteer for a home visit and impressed everyone with his manners. He did wonderfully around her cats and settled in with ease. He was fantastic in the car, a pleasure to walk on leash, and an expert cuddler. Shaggy approaches everything with a happy smile and contagious enthusiasm. Eager to please and full of affection, he's the kind of dog who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy snuggle on the couch.<br/><br/>This sweet boy is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a family of his own. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.<br/> You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.<br/> Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.<br/> We do request vet and personal references.<br/> We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
