VIP: Shadow is a playful young boy who is about 19 months of age. He is friendly and happy with children and is a wiggly boy who loves to be petted. Shadow went on a group dog walk with other dogs at the shelter and had such a great time out of the shelter. He was very friendly with other dogs on the walk and was very playful with them. He rode well in the car on the way to the park and walked well on a leash. Shadow really wants his forever home!<br/><br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
