Shadow's Story

Shadow is an older ( her paperwork showed her to be 8 years-old, but she seems younger) female. Her DNA test shows she’s 35% English Bulldog, 5% French Bulldog, and 60% Staffordshire Terrier.

Shadow spent her life being bred repeatedly in an outside pen in Georgia. When she was no longer useful, she was surrendered, hairless and emaciated to a shelter. Within a few months in her foster home she blossomed into a beautiful, affectionate, loving companion.

Her foster mom named her Shadow because follows her mom everywhere and always wants eyes on her.

She has good hearing and eyesight.
Her V numbers are normal.
She is now 90% house-trained with a predictable routine–but still needs work.
Allergic to chicken, she thrives on a fish-based diet
She loves Whimzees, bananas, and Ritz crackers.
She’s not a fan of crates, which is understandable given her past confinement.

Shadow LOVES every person and every dog she meets. She probably loves cats too, but she hasn’t met one. Nearly every person she meets on the trail has considered taking her home. She loves a buddy and would do great with one or two dogs as long as they are gentle as she’s not great at defending herself and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body.. An owner or owners who don’t leave her alone for too long is ideal. She can chill at home for about 4 hours before she starts getting worried. Since she never had a toy, she doesn’t know what to do with one. She isn’t destructive in any way. She likes to roll around in her bed on her back and make crocodile sounds when she is feeling spicy.

Application below:

https://form.jotform.com/231708031031036
