Seymour's Story

Meet Seymour, a handsome Shepherd mix puppy born around March 15, 2026, who currently weighs about 20 pounds. This happy-go-lucky boy is full of puppy charm and is always ready for his next adventure. Seymour is playful, adventurous, inquisitive, and affectionate, with a joyful personality that makes everyone smile. Like most puppies, Seymour loves to stay busy. His favorite activities include playing with his sibling, chasing toys, running around outside, exploring new places, and, of course, enjoying mealtime. He approaches every day with excitement and curiosity, eager to see what fun awaits him. One of the funniest things about Seymour is watching him learn how to manage his oversized puppy paws. Whether he's trying to navigate stairs or racing around the yard, his growing body doesn't always cooperate with his enthusiasm. His attempts to master going down steps are especially entertaining and are sure to keep his future family laughing. Seymour is crate trained and has been doing well in foster care. As a young puppy, he is still working on house training and learning proper leash skills. He will need a family committed to continuing his training, providing structure, and helping him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. Due to his age, he would benefit from having someone home more often. Seymour has done well with children and would likely be a wonderful companion for a family with kids. He also gets along well with other dogs that are comfortable around playful puppies. He has not yet been introduced to cats. Because he is expected to grow into a large dog, Seymour would do best in a home with enough space for him to stretch his legs, play, and burn off his puppy energy. Whether you're an experienced dog owner or welcoming your first canine companion, Seymour has the friendly personality and eager-to-please attitude to fit into many different homes. All he needs is a family ready to guide him through puppyhood and shower him with love. Seymour is up to date on vaccines, and his adoption fee includes his future neuter and microchip. For more information or to meet Seymour, please contact us at adopt@carolinapaws.com.

We only accept Adoption Applications within a certain radius of where our volunteers are based. Currently, we are able to accept applications from Mecklenburg and Union counties (NC), and parts of Cabarrus (NC), Lancaster (SC), and York (SC) counties.
